We will continue to worship God in Public with the elders, deacons and their families. Our morning and evening services will be live-streamed, as usual, via sermon audio. Our weekly bulletin will be posted on our church web site so you can read and sing with us in your homes.
Beginning this coming Wednesday, March 25, we will live-stream (via sermon audio) a Prayer Service which Pastor Macleod will lead, Lord willing. This will begin at 7 PM. There will be reading, prayer, and a meditation from God’s Word. We would encourage you all to listen in and pray together with us (2 Chron. 7:14). All other activities in our church are postponed until further notice.
Further, it would be good if we can think of ways of reaching out to each other, and especially those who are shut in. Perhaps we could all keep our directories in hand and give a call to those who may be especially lonely or who may need help with groceries, or something like that. I’m sure they’d also appreciate a card from some of our younger ones! And with the directory in hand, let us all be much in prayer for one-another.
Let’s also commit to praying daily for this situation – for those who have contracted the virus, those who are treating others (our doctors and nurses and all medical services). This is already a busy time for them. Let’s also commit to praying for our President and those who lead us – for wisdom, strength, protection, help, and above all, that we as a nation (and nations) would humble ourselves under God’s mighty hand and turn to Him in repentance.
May you all know the Lord’s care and keeping in these days! “Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved” (Psalm 80:3).
